Liam Sceats and Chris van der Drift have both performed well in Race 2 at Inje, with Sceats improving to take an overall win ahead of van der Drift in third.

Off the start, van der Drift immediately started to pressure the leader whilst Sceats tucked into a comfortable third. The experienced Kiwi of van der Drift did not let the car ahead get to get out of his sight.
After three laps van der Drift remained just under half a second behind the leader, while Sceats sat just over half a second behind his fellow Kiwi.
Drivers soon started to tuck into a cycle and preserve tyres until the pit window opened. With thirty-five minutes to go, van der Drift started to pull away from Sceats and started to move closer to Jonathan Cecotto. Soon, on a drying track, he was all over his bumper.
Van der Drift started to look extremely fast and started to pile the pressure on Cecotto. He started to show his nose on the approach into corners with thirty-two minutes to go, The fighting between first and second allowed Sceats to come into the mix slightly more, coming within a second of the leader with thirty minutes remaining.
The pit window soon opened, and no lead drivers headed in early. Van der Drift maintained pressure on Cecotto, while Sceats had fallen back.
Down the order, drivers had started to pile into the lane and Cecotto was the first of the front drivers to head in. This means that van der Drift inherited the lead, making it a Kiwi 1-2.
With twenty minutes of the race remaining, van der Drift headed in for a driver change, handing the car to Kingsford. Sceats pitted soon after, meaning that both drivers were out of the car.
Kingsford was able to jump the former leader’s teammate, meaning it was a Kiwi 1-3. Van der Drift also held the Pro-Am lead.
With just over ten minutes to go, first, second, and third remained inseparable. The drivers had all closed up to each other, with less than half a second between the three. This provided thrilling racing as drivers attempted undercuts, crisscrosses, and heavy dive bombs.

Kingsford was able to get his elbows out to defend heavily from Treguntha. Sceats was then able to put on an impressive move on the leader to get past Kingsford, who fell down to fourth as a result.
Titus Sherlock soon suffered a breakdown outside of Turn 5, bringing out the safety car. This neutralised the remainder of the race, meaning Sceats would bring home his second overall win of the season.
Before the safety car, Kingsford was able to move into third overall, clinching another overall podium for himself and van der Drift.
The series will now take a short break before the next round in Shanghai on the 4th of September.
