New Zealand motorsport promoter Speed Works Events have issued an eight-round calendar for the upcoming summer season.

Five circuits, including two weekends in the South Island, will play host to up to ten categories per meeting.

Teretonga, Levels and Manfeild miss out on holding a race weekend this summer.

Hampton Downs opens the season in November, with ten categories pencilled in on the schedule.

Pukekohe Park is the last event before the New Year and takes place in early December.

The first South Island meeting is at Highlands Motorsport Park in January.

That event will also see the launch of the new Super GT class announced last night.

Ruapuna in Christchurch holds round four, one week after the weekend in Highlands.

A positive note for South Island fans is that the NAPA Central Muscle Cars return to the Mainland this year and race at both rounds.

TCR New Zealand will also run at both South Island events and a single North Island round at Pukekohe in March.

Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park’s first meeting of the season is on Auckland Regional Anniversary weekend in January.

Event organisers have confirmed that this round will also feature two grids of motorbikes.

The Victorian Motorcycle Club is bringing its Senior and Intermediate Sprint Cup classes for the weekend.

Like last year, Hampton Downs is home to the New Zealand Grand Prix and is on February 11-13.

Toyota GAZOO Racing New Zealand has confirmed the Grand Prix will be the sole round this season where Toyota Racing Cars are in action.

Next year, there will be no TRS season due to the lack of Managed Isolation spots available for international drivers and Kiwis racing overseas.

Pukekohe and Taupo will conclude the season with two weekends in March.
