Supercars has unveiled a blockbuster 14-round calendar for its milestone 30th anniversary season in 2027, featuring the return of Phillip Island, and Darwin’s first-ever Championship night race.

The announcement follows a landmark agreement between Supercars teams and category owners RACE, with an updated Teams Racing Charter agreement ensuring a 14-event season spanning from February to November 2027.

Iconic events, returning circuits and new racing experiences will connect the rich legacy of Supercars with the next chapter of the Championship as it celebrates three decades of the category that has become world-renowned for loud, competitive, door-to-door action on some of the planet’s most daunting circuits.

The 2027 calendar delivers 14 events across six Australian states and territories, as well as both the North and South Islands of New Zealand, beginning at Sydney Motorsport Park from 26-28 February and concludes with the Adelaide Grand Final from 25-28 November.

Introduced in 2025, the three-phase championship of the Sprint Cup, Enduro Cup, and Supercars Finals returns in 2027.

The Sprint Cup gets underway at Sydney Motorsport Park, followed by Tasmania’s Symmons Plains Raceway a fortnight later, before Supercars joins the Formula One Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne in early April.

Following a booming debut in 2026, the New Zealand Double Header returns in 2027, with Christchurch’s Ruapuna Raceway to open back-to-back weekends of racing in NZ, before teams head north to Taupō International Motorsport Park the following weekend.

Supercars will break new ground in 2027 with the first night race in Championship history at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin before hitting the streets of Townsville in early July.

The Championship heads west in early August for one last visit to historic Wanneroo Raceway, before the winner of the Sprint Cup is crowned at Sandown Raceway later in the month.

The Enduro Cup takes in The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia in mid-September, followed by the Championship’s crown jewel – the Repco Bathurst 1000 – from October 7-10.

Bathurst will again determine the final 10 drivers who will contest the Supercars Finals, which kicks off on the streets of the Gold Coast in late October.

The second round of the Finals will take place at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, with the fan favourite and picturesque venue returning to the Supercars calendar for the first time since 2019.

The 30th anniversary season then reaches its crescendo in Adelaide, where the 2027 Repco Supercars Champion will be crowned on the new-look street circuit of the South Australian capital in November.

Supercars Executive Chairman and interim CEO Barclay Nettlefold said the 2027 calendar delivered a compelling blend of innovation, tradition and world-class racing.

“The 2027 Championship calendar is one that we’re incredibly proud to deliver for our fans, teams, partners and stakeholders, as we prepare to celebrate Supercars’ 30th anniversary,” Nettlefold said.

“The return of Phillip Island as part of the Finals will resonate with our most loyal fans, while new elements like night racing in Darwin and the revamped Adelaide street circuit continue driving the sport to new heights.

“Fans and drivers will return to venues they love, with race formats that deliver the spectacle and entertainment Supercars is known for. We believe this calendar strikes a strong balance between the number of events and the rhythm of the season.

“We would like to thank our race teams, venues, and government and strategic partners for their continued support in building a 2027 season that honours 30 years of Supercars while setting the stage for another unforgettable championship battle.”

Repco Chief Commercial Officer Wayne Bryant said the 2027 schedule reinforced the strength and reach of the Championship.

“The Repco Supercars Championship continues to be one of the most exciting sporting series in Australia and New Zealand, and the 2027 calendar provides fans with an outstanding mix of iconic events and fresh experiences,” Bryant said.

“The addition of Phillip Island, return of the traditional Sandown 500, and the introduction of night racing in Darwin demonstrate the momentum behind the Championship.

“The Repco Bathurst 1000 remains the jewel in the crown and we’re looking forward to celebrating the 67th running of the Great Race in October. Repco is proud to continue supporting a championship that connects with millions of passionate motorsport fans across the region.”

Supercars fans will be able to purchase tickets for 2027 Supercars events beginning 23 November.
The Dunlop Super2 Series will take another significant step forward in 2027 with an expanded seven-round calendar, including a standalone event at Mallala Motorsport Park.

Scheduled to take place while Supercars equipment travels to New Zealand, the Mallala Super2 event will provide fans an additional weekend of racing while putting the country’s rising stars in the spotlight.

Signalling further investment in the category’s premier development series, the 2027 Super2 calendar is the largest since 2019.

The Mallala event will be Super2’s first standalone event since 2008, and first time racing at the former RAAF Base since 2006.

As the proven pathway for emerging talent and future champions of the sport, Super2 will also feature at six Repco Supercars Championship events throughout the season, including the season opener in Sydney, Darwin, Perth, Sandown, the Repco Bathurst 1000, and the Adelaide Grand Final.

Further details regarding formats, support categories and testing schedules will be announced in due course.

Fans watching at home will continue to enjoy every session, every round, live and in full via Kayo SPORTS, with select Championship events broadcast live and free on the Seven Network and 7plus.

In New Zealand, fans can watch every round of the Repco Supercars Championship live on Sky Sport and Sky Sport Now, ensuring Kiwi audiences won’t miss a moment of the action.

Adam Crothers, Head of Content Partnerships at Sky New Zealand said that “Kiwi fans have clearly embraced Supercars, and we look forward to bringing every round of the 2027 Repco Supercars Championship to them live on Sky Sport and Sky Sport Now. The New Zealand Double Header was a standout in 2026, and we’re delighted to see it return next year. Total viewing hours across the first eight rounds of the season were up 10% year-on-year on Sky Sport, reflecting the continued momentum behind the championship and the strong support for Supercars this side of the Tasman.”

The Championship will continue to be broadcast to hundreds of millions of homes around the world, showcasing Australia’s premier motorsport category to a global audience.
