The full entry list of next weekend’s Bathurst 6 Hour has been revealed with a massive 60 cars and 156 drivers confirmed to take part.
A small number of teams are yet to confirm their second or third drivers meaning the total number will exceed 160 competitors once the green flag drops next Sunday morning.
Several big names are included in the field, including current or former Supercars’ stars such as Marcos Ambrose, Will Davison, Anton de Pasquale, John Bowe and Tony D’Alberto.
Two Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Championship competitors, Tom McLennan and Ryder Quinn, are also included in the mix with the latter partnering his grandfather and motorsport magnate Tony Quinn in a Mach 1 Ford Mustang.
Eight classes of cars are confirmed to race in the enduro with nine teams making up the Extreme Performance Class X field.
Bowe will be driving a Ford Falcon GT-F in the 12-strong A1 field which also features Mike Sheargold, defending A1 champion in both 2021 and 2022, driving his Mercedes AMG A45.
Class victory would see Sheargold emerge as the most successful Bathurst 6 Hour driver in history as the only competitor to win the event three times.
BMWs take up the most spots on the grid with 14 entries while Holden has the next most with 10. Ford has seven entries, Mazda has five, Mitsubishi and Volkswagen have four apiece, Subaru have three, Toyota have 2 and Audi, Honda, Lexus and Mini have one each.
There’s also a strong Kiwi flavour in Class D which features a RX8 Cup entry of Kris Mackie, Ash McConchie and Jared Parmenter. There are eight competitors in Class D including a second RX8 Cup entry of Tom Shaw, Ric Shaw and David Cox.
A number of categories will run in support of the Bathurst 6 Hour, including the Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia and Australian Production Cars.
The event runs from 7-9 April and will be streamed live to New Zealand on the SpeedSeries website.
